Bonjour, Paris

paris jenny dress pinup girl clothing

It's rare for me to meet a novelty print I don't like, so I'm not sure why I wasn't immediately drawn to this Paris print Jenny dress from Pinup Girl Clothing. It wasn't until I saw it in person (when Ashley picked me up at LAX for my visit last summer) that I realized how great it really is. It's beautifully detailed and I love the color scheme. I have a few solid color Jenny dresses, but this one seems much more fun – plus, this new run has pockets!

I'm going through a bit of an emotional struggle right now, so I've been trying to distract myself and get out of the house as much as possible. I've seen a couple of good movies (Love & Friendship was delightful, and Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping was ridiculous, raunchy and stupid in the best way) and I'm spending a lot of time with friends and my mom. I'm also back on Weight Watchers (after a particularly horrifying, long-overdue weigh-in) and am feeling generally motivated. So I guess you win some, you lose some. I'm just trying to focus on the positive, which is all I can really ask of myself.

  1. A very pretty dress, I have the Jenny in Snowhite print and I love it! It has a really good fit, but mine doesn't have pockets. I really want the newer ones, but I'm not that into paying custom fees...

I'm sad to hear you're having a struggle, but I hope it will get better for you! x

  2. Gorgeous outfit! I love that you pulled the dark fuschia shade from the print for your shoe and nail colours. Wonderful styling!

Many, many hugs & heartfelt wishes that the next half of 2016 is smoother, happier, and just better in general for you, sweet Sammi.

  6. These colors work so well with you - sorry to hear you've got some challenges right now. Sometimes the silliest things cause such stress! Good luck with your new chapter with weight watchers - you're beautiful no matter what that scale says, but I know how it feels to finally see that number. No matter how confident we are, it still stings when your weight fluctuates - I experienced that this year and am still struggling some days! You got this, you powerful goddess, you!!!

  8. Swoon that dress! I kind of kick myself that I didn't grab this when I had the chance when PUG recently reissued it. Thus is the plight of the shopaholic though... you can't have them all! (Though I do in my heart of hearts hope PUG will do some restocks of this in the not too distant future). Gorgeous dress on you Sammi! <3
