It's time to put on makeup / It's time to dress up right

Outfit Details:
Miss Piggy Party Dress: I'm Your Present
Care to Dance? Wedge in Petal: ModCloth (also available directly through BAIT)
Lavender belt: ASOS
Lilac Hair Bow: Clip a Bow Boutique

I ask you, could there be a more perfect dress for me than a novelty print that involves puppets (ESPECIALLY the Muppets)?  I've been long-obsessed with this dress.  I'm a big fan of Kelly over at I'm Your Present, and she originally had this dress as a one-of-a-kind dress that was far too small for me.  Luckily, she started listing custom order dresses with the same charming fabric!  Her pieces are so wonderfully nostalgic and fantasy-driven!  They also include the cutest things with their orders -- little unicorn rings, stickers, candies.  Just really sweet and adorable.

Miss Piggy is the ultimate glamour drama queen.  She is silly and girly and I love her.

In other news, today's post marks my 100th blog post!  Crazy, no?  Time has flown since I started this blog back in February.  Appropriately enough, I now have more than 100 likes on my Facebook page!  Hooray and thank you to those who both follow me and have liked my page!  You guys are the best.

Petticoat junction

Outfit Details:
Virginia Dress: eShakti
Red belt: Pinup Girl Clothing (sold out)
Petticoat: eBay
White flats: yeswalker
Heart necklace: ASOS (sold out)

Oh, eShakti, how I love thee.

I actually scored this dress from eShakti's overstock section.  They make it super easy to search for pieces in your size at discounted prices.  Most of all, I love eShakti because of their amazing customization options!  I think it's pretty amazing that they give such accurate measurements for sizes, and that you can provide your exact measurements so they can make a dress that's specially made just for you!  Sometimes sizing can be really difficult when shopping online, and eShakti has truly made it a breeze.  I also love that you can have pocket, sleeve, neckline and hemline customization for an incredibly reasonable price.  I can't think of any other company that does that.

This dress turned out to be a little longer than I'd expected (though if I'd ordered it at full price, I would have been able to customize that!), but it's perfect with a petticoat underneath.  This outfit turned out to be really patriotic-looking - whoops!  Maybe I'll wear it for the fourth of July or something.

Whoops, upside down necklace.  I still like the picture.

Obligatory petticoat reveal

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Is anyone really surprised that I own this dress?  It's the perfect whimsical novelty print, and I'm all about a good fit & flare dress -- it's universally flattering!

This adorable cotton candy necklace is the perfect complement for a circus-themed dress, no?

Swimming with the fishes

Outfit Details:
What A Catch Bra Top and Skirt: Bettie Page
Necklace: Forever 21
Octopus ring: ModCloth (free with purchase)

This outfit has been waiting in my closet since the winter to be worn.  It still isn't really warm enough to wear it yet, but I want real summer so badly that I couldn't wait any longer!

I'd never have purchased this ring myself, but for a free gift, I'll take it!  It goes well with nautical things, so I can't really complain (except octopi kind of freak me out just a little bit, honestly).

I daringly tried to set the timer and get pictures in my creek, but it was a huge failure.  I hurt my ankle a little and almost lost my flip flop, and I got zero usable pictures, so that was a bust.  I need to recruit a photographer for something like that, and find a better spot that isn't so rocky and that doesn't have a strong current (the spot was further down the creek than this picture shows).

Hope your Monday goes swimmingly!
