A rose by any other name

Outfit Details:
Pink Day Dress: Newman & Hall
Fleur Any Occasion Headband: ModCloth
Painted Heart Ring: Urban Outfitters
White flats: yeswalker

So if you can't already tell... I am absolutely in love with this dress.  Head over heels.  It is the most delicate, pink-checked, rose-adorned vintage dream dress.  I have to thank Kailey over at mermaidens (which is one of the most swoon-worthy blogs I've ever seen, and it's run by one of the sweetest, loveliest girls ever!) for introducing me to the greatness that exists in Newman & Hall's Etsy shop.

I managed to scoop up two beautiful dresses (this one, and a lovely peach number with a big white bow), each at a great price.  They have pages upon pages of awesome vintage items, and if you "like" their Facebook page and click on the Etsy discount tab, you can get 10% off your order!  Newman & Hall seems to be pretty generous with their measurements, FYI.  This dress is a little big on me, but because of the sash, it looks great.  The other dress I got might need some altering (even though according to my measurements, it should have fit pretty precisely); despite it also having a sash, there seems to be too much extra material in back, but it's SUCH a cute dress - and it's a small fix - that I'd never dream of getting rid of it.  Still, something to keep in mind when ordering from them (though this is just my experience).  In any case, their shipping was INCREDIBLY fast -- I was astounded when I got my dresses as quickly as I did, especially because they ship from Florida!

I am starting to realize that I pretty much dress like a little girl a lot of the time.  And I am totally okay with that.  Now, if only more stores/shops would carry more things that would allow me to indulge in this, that'd be great.  There are way too many times I see something in the vintage section on Etsy that I gasp at (a dress with novelty embroidery or something) and then realize that it is for a little girl!

I am such a girly girl.

Have a super Saturday!

Absolutely dotty

Outfit Details:
Suspender skirt: Exile Vintage
White button-down: Target (old)
Polka dot hat: ASOS (old)
White flats: Yeswalker
Heart necklace: ASOS (sold out)

I love this vintage suspender skirt!  Exile Vintage has such wonderful things.  Most of their pieces are too small for me (and truth be told, this skirt is *almost* too tight), but I love browsing their shop!  I had bought this hat long before I found the skirt, so when I saw it, I knew I'd have to pair the two together.  I also thought this outfit would be appropriate for Memorial Day, since it's not completely patriotic-looking, but gives just a hint of it.

Have a great Monday!

"The daisy's for simplicity and unaffected air"

Outfit Details:
Daisy dress: Trollied Dolly (available at ASOS)
Daisy picnic basket: Cheeky Vintage Closet
Yellow bow: American Apparel
White flats: Yeswalker
Daisy ring: Mom's

You only realize how many daisy-themed items are in your closet when you have to scour the internet for different quotes relating to daisies....... I think this is interesting because my mom was *this* close to naming me Daisy!  I don't think I'm really a Daisy... though maybe if it had been my name, I'd be a totally different person.  Weird to think about, huh?

This-coming week (or at least some of it) is going to be flower-themed, which was totally unintentional at first.  But now I'm going to embrace it, because I do love a good theme.  Tomorrow's post is going to be centered around my absolute favorite flower in the world (hint: it's also Rochester's [unofficial?] flower... we have a whole festival centered around it!), with one of my absolute favorite dresses to match!  I am such a matchy-matchy girl (one of the numerous reasons I know I was born in the wrong decade), so it's fitting.

Have a great Sunday!
