It's hard to believe that another year of blogging has gone by! While I'm not nearly as active on here as I once was (working full-time, owning a home, and having several creative projects on the side will do that to you), I still cherish this space – the outfits I've shared, the friends I've made, and the opportunities that have fallen in my dressed-up lap. 

When I started this blog 11 years ago, I didn't have any idea I'd still be publishing posts more than a decade later... or that I'd be writing for a living... or that I'd be interviewed in several publications... all as a direct result of starting The Soubrette Brunette! I'm thankful I took the leap all those years ago – and that there are still folks who take time to follow along and feel inspired by my personal fashion philosophy.

Every February, I host a big "blogiversary" giveaway to commemorate the start of The Soubrette Brunette and to thank you all for your support along the way. This year is a fun and flowery one! So without further ado... it's (garden) party time!

With help from my friend Val at Sungrove Blossoms, I've really leaned into the floral theme for this year's giveaway and curated a prize package that feels like a garden party in a box! The Soubrette Brunette's 9th Blogiversary Giveaway! [CLOSED]

It's hard for me to believe... but I started this blog 9 years ago this month! 

My relationship with blogging (and with many of you!) goes back nearly a decade. I've made so many friends through this community. I probably wouldn't have gotten into marketing if it weren't for my blog.  And this creative outlet has been absolutely priceless. I may not have thousands upon thousands of followers or made much money from it... but I feel really thankful that I took the risk and started my blog.

Of course, as I do every February, I have to celebrate my blogiversary by giving back to you! Although I would probably still be creating and blogging even if no one else cared, it means so much more because there are people who do care! I can't believe that my blog is seven years old! When I started The Soubrette Brunette, I really just wanted a place to document the fun clothes in my closet. I didn't imagine that it would turn into such an important part of my life. Thanks to my blog, I've made so many friends and was lucky enough to have a consistent creative outlet. I've never made much money from blogging, but it's meant a lot more to me than a source of income (and it was at least part of the reason I was able to do the full-time work I'm doing now). Blogging isn't as popular as it once was, but I'm really glad I have this little corner of the internet for my fashion and for my musings – and I'm really glad you're here, too!
