Clown

pinup girl clothing harlequin dress

I feel like I'm finding a bit of a stride in my new life, even though a lot of things are still up in the air. Maybe I'm just learning how to juggle them better now. And speaking of juggling... I'm finally wearing my harlequin Jenny dress! This was actually the first harlequin colorway I purchased, but I never ended up styling it here on the blog. I felt it was high time to showcase this adorable dress. I honestly don't have a ton of commentary about it, but I find that I wear the patterned Jenny dresses a bit more often than the solid color ones, and I've gotten quite a bit of use out of this one (even though I wouldn't exactly classify it as one of my favorite dresses of all time). Is that strange? I sometimes wear my less-favored dresses more often than my favorite ones... I think because I tend to save my more special dresses. I apparently practice dress favoritism. Oops.

I had an absolutely delightful weekend. I spent time relaxing, catching up on blogging, snuggling and eating some delicious food. Although I'm not currently at a point where I love what I'm doing for work, it helps that I really enjoy coming back to my little house every day. I can't wait to show you all how it looks once it's done!

  1. I can't wait to see more/hear more about your new home - I hope there's some good photo spots for future blog photos! Our house has some great spots with its old stone wall from the early 1900s (when the house was built) but it gets old after awhile. I am in desperate need for some change in my blog backgrounds!! haha ;)

  2. it is absolutely gorgeous on you! And I know what you mean about not wearing your favorites.. I feel like there are two kinds of favorite dresses - ones that you wear all the time and ones that are just too good to wear ahhaha

  3. Oh I'm so glad things are starting to get better. You are beautiful in this dress (and any dress really...)! I do the same thing with my favourite dresses - I save them for special occasions, it's almost like I'm afraid of ruining the favourite dress if I wear it a lot!
Hope you'll have a splendid week!
    Much love,
    Mona

  5. Oh my word, I swear I do that with garments sometimes, too. Good to know that I'm not the only one. :)

This dress is really charming and looks fantastic on you. The colours feel just right for late summer (almost edging into pre-autumn days), too.

  6. Cute dress on you. I can relate completely to this. I totally also tend to save my most favorite dresses and wear my other dresses most. It's an odd thing when you think about it but somehow it makes sense too. :)
