This is the last Christmas outfit I'll be documenting here on the blog this year (though I actually still have yet another outfit planned for the actual holiday, featuring my very favorite dress of all time). I just love this darling fabric, and I knew I had to pair this dress with my holiday brooch from
Erstwilder! I've also been a bit obsessed with faux fur shrugs this year... I now have about 4 or 5 different ones (though in an ironic twist, it's been about the warmest December that we've ever experienced) – they're a fun alternative to the cardigans I normally wear, especially for the holidays.
If my hair looks different here, it's because I had to take these photos before our Sunday matinée performance over the weekend. I play a 1920's socialite, and it's a fun change to be able to get my hair done for every show. After our Sunday performance, my mom and I saw the tour of
Irving Berlin's White Christmas, which was absolutely wonderful. A friend of mine from college was in the show, and it was delightful to be able to see her perform (for the first time in 5 years) and have a good, long catch-up after the show. Although there's no snow on the ground, seeing both the movie and the musical versions of
White Christmas definitely puts me in the holiday spirit!

I finally finished wrapping my gifts, but now we need to get started on baking! Things have been unexpectedly hectic and stressful in my house these past couple of days, and it kind of derailed things a bit. I still have to fit in all my Christmas movie-watching, too! Ahh! And here I thought I wasn't leaving anything until the last minute...
Happy Holidays!

ReplyDeleteYay!! I was dying to know when I'd see you in this dress! It looks awesome! I love it with the shrug and brooch! And your hair is adorable! It's so fun to get your hair done for special occasions and then milk it til you can no longer milk it! Haha!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous holiday outfit and I love your hair that way! I love all your fur shrugs too! Fur shrugs are so fun. I also have a collection but have completely lost count of how many and which colors I have! :O I think maybe 4. :) Seeing you in all our gorgeous fur shrugs I may just have to incorporate some into my holiday outfits this year! :D <3
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute dress!! I love your hair here too! The red and white combination is indeed perfect for Christmas, but the touch of green makes it even more festive. You look adorable as always. I know I don't always comment here but please do know I always admire how cute your style is :)
ReplyDeleteI left absolutely everything until last minute except buying most of my presents. Nothing is wrapped and my bags aren't packed and I have to be at the airport at 4am. Needless to say it's been hard getting into the holiday spirit this year!
ReplyDeleteBut anyway, I really really love this festive dress and the wonderful fur shawl. You make me wish I had one! Plus your hair looks so cute here too.

This is such a darling dress and the shrug is cute with it. And I'm totally jealous of you seeing White Christmas live. How fun! Enjoy your holiday!
ReplyDeleteReally, really spectacular holiday season look! I was vibing on white faux fur big time this December, too, and included it as part of one of my festive looks as well (earlier this week).
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific tail end of December!

Oh, this is such a lovely outfit! I made a dress in this fabric for last Christmas and wore it on the day itself this year. It's so jolly that it always makes me smile.
