I've always loved matching dress & coat sets. This outfit didn't come as a set (I bought the dress a couple of years ago, and the coat was one of my Christmas presents this year), but I think they look pretty perfect together! I ended up being a total couch potato on New Year's Day, but had I gotten dressed up, I would have worn this outfit, for sure.
It's supposed to get really cold and snowy here this week. I don't mind the snow, but I'm not looking forward to 18-degree temperatures (that's just way too chilly for photos!). But on the upside, I can start tackling some of my resolutions! I definitely want to get back to exercising, and I also really want to learn how to sew this year. I'd love to be able to make my own dresses! I'm spending lots of time on sites like Spoonflower in anticipation of buying fabrics to use.

Oh, that dress and coat were absolutely made for each other! And so elegant but never over the top, you appreciate all the details but they never compete with one another. A new favorite outfit from you, I think.
ReplyDeleteAlso... it is sad that 18 degrees sounds positively warm right now!
The coat and dress really do look like they were made for each other! And I hope you get to make lots of dresses this year.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute outfit! I love all white outfits this time of year, and the touches of gold really help to warm it up and make it look really luxurious. This looks fabulous on you.
ReplyDeleteCheers!

Such a beautiful combination! I love the purity and elegance of gold and white. I especially love the touch of fur on that coat, really ties the whole look together. You look dazzling! Happy New Year!

ReplyDeleteThis dress was MADE for you, Sammi! Wow! Don't let the chilly temps scare you away - hop on out there and take some photos - no pain no gain, right? ;) For me, I work up a sweat getting dressed some mornings so the cold nip in the air actually feels good! Haha

I too spend way too much time on fabric websites. I have a sewing machine and I even used to make my clothes in high school but it's been SO LONG. It's one of my resolutions too, I want to start making clothes for Bianca.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute NYE outfit! I had a pretty uneventful holiday too because I was crazy sick. I was in pj's all night :(.
I am OBSESSED with white and gold right now (except for the problem that I don't really own much white and gold). So anyway, this outfit is perfection! Might have to check out that dress link... :)
