I plan on writing an epic poem about this gorgeous pie

pie dress modcloth

I felt like this dress was the perfect piece for Thanksgiving, since the holiday is sort of just one big prelude to pumpkin pie for me.  I've worn this dress a few other times on the blog (see here and here), but it'll always be one of my favorites and I enjoy coming up with different ways to wear it.  I also recently finished watching Twin Peaks, and I love how important pie is on that show (hence the title of this post).  Plus, this outfit finally gave me the chance to wear my new brooch from Dainty Geekery!

I had a nice -- albeit uneventful -- Thanksgiving.  I ate too much, so my Weight Watchers points for the week are basically shot... but you can't win 'em all.  I bought a couple of things yesterday for Black Friday, but some of the Cyber Monday deals are actually better, so I'm waiting for that.  Other than that, I'm working a lot this weekend; the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra always has a weekend of Nutcracker performances with the Rochester City Ballet, so that means a lot of craziness for our box office.  At least I have a new nutcracker print dress to wear!  :)

  1. A perfect dress (and ring!) for Thanksgiving! Good luck with all the craziness at work this week.

  2. This is also one of my own favourite dresses! :) That cropped cardigan and ring just pair so perfectly with it!
    Good luck at work!

  3. How much did you freak out at the Twin Peaks ending?! Ultimate cliff hanger.

  4. I have the pie dress, too, and I love it. I actually wore it last week to my pie baking class! Thanks for the Lindybop sizing tips from before; I ordered one of their dresses and it's great! Can't wait to see your new Nutcracker dress :)

  5. Cakes on a dress, what's not to love?! x

  6. I agree - this dress pairs well with SO MUCH! I think it's because of its awesome color palette. I originally bought it last year for Thanksgiving but it was too small and when I returned it, it had sold out already! I was so bummed. Luckily, it was restocked a few months later and I was able to get the right size! Haha so thats my story. Now I just love wearing it for any special holiday - it was my Valentine's Day dress, my birthday dress, etc! It's such a great dress!

    1. I definitely agree that it runs small! It took forever to get mine originally -- it was out of stock FOREVER. But you're absolutely right: it's perfect for all holidays! :)

  7. Mmmmm piessss!!! Mmmmmm pies on a dresss.... hehehehe :) You look super cute in this pastel outfit!

  8. OH! I love Twin Peaks! And this outfit is darling and oh so fitting!

  9. That pie dress is so deliciously cute! I love how you styled it with the pink cardi and white heels. (I have those heels too by the way, so cute and comfy!) I agree that some places have better deals for Cyber Monday, but not sure if that's a good thing as I spent quite a bit this past weekend haha.

  10. Aww, what a terrifically cute ensemble!!! You've got me craving pie above all else now on the food front. Might just have to whip one up to celebrate the start of December.

    Big hugs,
