Up, up and away

Outfit Details:
Float Couture Dress: ModCloth
White t-strap flats: Urban Outfitters
Boater hat: River Island
White belt: eBay

I wore this dress on my blog once, quite a while ago, but I'm getting to the point where I do need to repeat certain things... and I felt this one was worthy of repetition!  Since it was such a beautiful day, Steven and I decided to head over to a local park and he very patiently waited while I took photos.  I'm getting kind of fed up with figuring out how to get un-blurry photos.  The problem is that the camera I use is technically a point-and-shoot camera with some DSLR capabilities -- which are nice features, for sure, but it makes it difficult for me to follow troubleshooting guides for either of the two types, since this is somewhere in the middle.  I guess I need to start saving for a DSLR... and make the time and effort to learn how to properly use one!

Nishe is one of my absolute favorite designers ever, and this dress has the most darling details!  I just love that collar.  It's a little bit big in the waist, but I think the belt works well with it.

Have a great Saturday!

As an aside, I totally couldn't tell that your camera WASN'T a professional one...your pictures always look so crisp and put-together!

  9. When I first started my blog my mission was to wear everything in my closet. Two and a half years later, I still haven't worn everything and I now realize how important "remixing" your wardrobe is. While I love having a vast closet (I get the feeling you do too!), I think both me and my readers get so much more out of making what you have work in many different ways. That being said, I love this dress and I look forward to seeing you remix your amazing wardrobe!

I've been on a closet-cleansing mission myself as of late. I can't wait to see how you remix pieces! :D

  12. I adore this outfit! I've been lusting after that dress on ModCloth, but they don't have it in my size :( It looks lovely on you though! As for cameras, you should look into the Canon G15. It's still considered a point-and-shoot, but the quality of photos and the functions are awesome; still pricey, but worth it. I had a G12 which is the model that came out before it. I hope that was somewhat helpful!
