Candy Cane

candy cane stripe jenny pinup girl clothing

I know most girls don't want to dress like candy incarnate, but for me, there's nothing better than looking like a human representation of sweet treats. This skirt from Pinup Girl Clothing might actually be one of my favorites; not only is the candy cane striped print irresistible, but it's actually made out of canvas, rather than the normal sateen PUG tends to use. While that might not have been a welcome surprise for some girls, I actually really like it. It feels a lot more wearable to me.

This skirt also runs larger than some of my other Jenny skirts. Since I'd rather have a little breathing/eating room, I don't mind it – but if you're on the smaller side of a certain size, you might want to consider sizing down. Clearly, I had to pair this skirt with the matching candy cane brooch from Erstwilder – yet another piece from their newest holiday collection. I wear one pretty much every day leading up to the holidays!

  1. I think looking like a walking candy cane is precious! You look amazing in this outfit and I am digging these stripes on you! So cute. Love the wintry scene behind you as well - what a lovely snowy backdrop! =D

  2. I really love this skirt! I'm just sad that I bought it a bit too late and I won't have to chance to wear it for Christmas but I'm sure to enjoy it all winter nevertheless. I hope it's not too big, since I took my regular size ( I do enjoy eating so maybe I will manage with a slightly loosen skirt).

    Love your pictures!

  3. This skirt was so very tempting for me, however I opted to purchase two solid color Jenny skirts recently with some credit I earned from one of their events.

You look darling and what a perfect brooch pairing!

Like you mentioned, the Jenny skirt ran a bit large. I have heard through the grapevine that PUG has been messing around a bit with sizing. The two skirts I ordered ran two inches too big for me despite them being the same size as two other ones I own!
