I plan on writing an epic poem about this gorgeous pie

pie dress modcloth

I felt like this dress was the perfect piece for Thanksgiving, since the holiday is sort of just one big prelude to pumpkin pie for me.  I've worn this dress a few other times on the blog (see here and here), but it'll always be one of my favorites and I enjoy coming up with different ways to wear it.  I also recently finished watching Twin Peaks, and I love how important pie is on that show (hence the title of this post).  Plus, this outfit finally gave me the chance to wear my new brooch from Dainty Geekery!

I had a nice -- albeit uneventful -- Thanksgiving.  I ate too much, so my Weight Watchers points for the week are basically shot... but you can't win 'em all.  I bought a couple of things yesterday for Black Friday, but some of the Cyber Monday deals are actually better, so I'm waiting for that.  Other than that, I'm working a lot this weekend; the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra always has a weekend of Nutcracker performances with the Rochester City Ballet, so that means a lot of craziness for our box office.  At least I have a new nutcracker print dress to wear!  :)

  4. I have the pie dress, too, and I love it. I actually wore it last week to my pie baking class! Thanks for the Lindybop sizing tips from before; I ordered one of their dresses and it's great! Can't wait to see your new Nutcracker dress :)

  6. I agree - this dress pairs well with SO MUCH! I think it's because of its awesome color palette. I originally bought it last year for Thanksgiving but it was too small and when I returned it, it had sold out already! I was so bummed. Luckily, it was restocked a few months later and I was able to get the right size! Haha so thats my story. Now I just love wearing it for any special holiday - it was my Valentine's Day dress, my birthday dress, etc! It's such a great dress!

    1. I definitely agree that it runs small! It took forever to get mine originally -- it was out of stock FOREVER. But you're absolutely right: it's perfect for all holidays! :)

  9. That pie dress is so deliciously cute! I love how you styled it with the pink cardi and white heels. (I have those heels too by the way, so cute and comfy!) I agree that some places have better deals for Cyber Monday, but not sure if that's a good thing as I spent quite a bit this past weekend haha.
