Polar Express

cath kidston

Although it still looks like fall in these photos, I can assure you that it's much more wintery now!  This was actually the first day I saw any real snowfall (it didn't stick at the time, but you can see some snowflakes in these photos if you look closely!), and we are now in the midst of an incredibly cold snap.  We're only an hour from Buffalo (where they got FIVE FEET OF SNOW), but it's mostly just freezing and windy here with a few flakes.  At least the cold weather is good for layering!

I don't wear this dress all that often, but I love the print.  I'm often drawn to prints that remind me of garments from my childhood, and this dress definitely falls into that category.  It's by British brand Cath Kidston, and although it's no longer available, I always enjoy their nostalgic clothes.  They still carry this fantastic double-decker bus print dress, which is pretty similar (and on sale!).

  2. ooo I love the print on it!!

I saw on the news that people were trapped with over 5 feet of snow. It looks so crazy in the pictures.

  3. I love the train print! And your layers are really cute. I saw that about Buffalo and you actually popped into my head because I remember from living in Rochester that Buffalo was so close :) Anyway... I hope you're staying warm!

  4. Oh my gosh, that dress is fabulously cute!!! There's an old historical railroad in our area that operates simply as a tourist attraction these days. If you're ever in the Okanagan, you should pack that dress and take a ride on it. The two are made for each other! :)

  5. I can definitely see why you titled this Polar express. Seems very much what you would wear to watch or read that :)

  6. You always find the best prints! This dress is perfect for fall too :) And honestly I love short nails with chipped polish, I think it's cuter & sexier than long/fake nails with perfect polish!

  7. This print is so cute and I love how you layered it for the colder weather. I suck at layering so it's nice to see photos like this for inspiration :).
