Little Bow Peep

Outfit Details:
Peach dress with bow: Newman & Hall
Basically Amazing Socks in Ivory: ModCloth
Kimchi Blue white t-bar flats: Urban Outfitters
Painted Heart Ring: Urban Outfitters

I ordered this lovely dress at the same time I ordered this one, both from Newman & Hall.  I'm so in love with their shop!  When I received both dresses, the pink one fit perfectly, and this peach one seemed to have too much fabric at the back.  I was going to get it tailored before I wore it, but after I tried it on for a second time, I realized that I could definitely wear it prior to tailoring!  There is a bit of extra room in the back, but it couldn't keep me from wearing this adorable dress!

Surprise!  Steven showed up when I was talking pictures!

I love this big bow!  I was originally going to call this post "Peaches and cream," but decided against it when I realized that all I needed was a bonnet and a shepherd's crook to look like I was smack dab in the middle of a nursery rhyme.

I hate taking pictures on hazy, cloudy days.  I know that's probably the opposite of how most photographers feel, but I don't know enough (read: anything) about photography to get the lighting or color balance to be how I want it to be otherwise.

I normally wouldn't include this picture in a post, but this is when I saw Steven arrive mid-photo, and I thought it was kind of cute.

Have a lovely Saturday!

  3. So cute! That's funny what you said about the light- Iusually prefer sunlight as well- as long as you shoot at the right time of day.The times when you have to shoot mid-day, however, are when I appreciate the haze- haha <3 Alex

  4. Ah how cute are you!! You match your blog layout perfectly with this outfit, I must say. And I'm definitely getting the Bo Peep vibe from ya. I love the poofy sleeves on that dress, oh my gosh!

Haha, I am definitely the opposite of that--I love my cloudy days! When the sun is really bright, I get harsh light in my pictures and my hair practically turns white... seriously in that last outfit post the sun kept dipping behind clouds and popping out and that alone bleached my hair.

  7. Such a cutie!
I always have trouble getting the right lighting on cloudy days, too for some reason. My camera just whitens out the sky and I don't know how to fix it! I prefer taking them in the evening on clear days or in shady spots!

  9. ohh this dress is just adorable! and it fits you perfectly! i wouldn't worry about the extra material at the back, i think the bow helps keep the silhouette perfectly. and the big bow on the front is so sweet.
